1.2.3 Balance Patch Now Available!
Happy Thanksgiving everybody! As a special treat to go with the most gluttonous holiday of the year, I'm happy to announce an update to MAW!
Version 1.2.3 seeks to address issues with the game's balance that have been observed by many players. I have taken this feedback to heart, and strove to ensure that the choice between classes and stats is more compelling and satisfying. Overall, my goal was to make every stat feel significant, something that feedback indicated was lacking in the original release. A brief overview of this update's changes:
-Reads have a lower chance of triggering. Characters of low Wit now have a small minimum chance to get a Read.
-Damage has been reworked. The influence of Strength on damage rolls has been increased.
-Stamina has been reworked, once again increasing the influence of the relevant stat, Endurance.

I know it is supposed to be left to the players imagination, but do you think a update where you can (OPTIONAL) choose a character preset can be done? I lose pretty much all my matches but imagining a scene where i win and they are in my belly would be nice. If not, it is understandable lol
Thanks for the feedback! As MAW entirely uses individual, hand-drawn art assets, even making a small number of player presets would be rather expensive and time-consuming, and even with a broad range of presets, would feel incomplete and limiting to me. I'll consider the possibility, but if we're bringing in more art assets for MAW anyways, I think priorities would be better spent on creating more opponents.
Understandable. It was a measly suggestion but sometimes i do forget it takes a lot to make a game lol. Even if it was a simple cute design that could be toggle on or off it would still require a lot. Well thanks for responding😌
